Future proof S/4HANA Migration with Intermediate Archive

Join us for an interactive session to learn the concept of “intermediate archiving” and understand the limitations of SAP® S/4HANA archive access. We will showcase solutions for online and archived data and documents, legacy access from SAP BTP, and SAP® S/4HANA in a practical demo.

When migrating to SAP® S/4HANA systems, several questions arise regarding data management: is there a way to limit the volume of data migrated? Can I migrate archived data? Can archiving help to reduce the data volume to be migrated? How does this affect Landscape Transformation since archived data cannot be changed? We will reveal several strategies to access archived data and documents. Such tactics can also be used post-migration, for future Landscape Transformation, when running archiving to reduce IT costs, implementing ILM for data privacy regulations, or solving performance issues related to the universal journal.

In this session, attendees will learn:

• Learn how archive data from SAP®  ECC system can be accessed from SAP® S/HANA and what limitations apply
• Learn why SAP® S/4HANA archive access is different from SAP® ECC archive access
• Understand the concept of “Intermediate Archive
• Visualise SAP online and archive legacy data access from SAP BTP using TJC Group solution.
• Walk through an S/4HANA online and legacy data access for Sales data and documents when the migration includes a company code merge.
